  9.                     *THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S*

  13. Scripture- II Chronicles 20:1,3 says "It came to pass after this also, 
  14. that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them 
  15. other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.  And 
  16. Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a
  17. fast throughout all Judah."

  19. How do you handle an invasion? Satan is in the business of bringing 
  20. invasions into our lives. 1 Peter 5:8 says that he goes about as a 
  21. roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  The news of the invasion 
  22. was disturbing to Jehoshapat, yet he didn't lose focus of where his
  23. help came from.  He decided to seek the Lord.  This is our first step 
  24. in dealing with the invasion of Satan.  We should turn our focus on 
  25. the Lord because He is the source of our help.
  26.  
  27. God has blessed us with the examples in scripture so we can  
  28. know how to deal with problems in this life.  In v. 12 of 
  29. II Chronicles the king is praying because he doesn't know what 
  30. to do, but their eyes were on the Lord.  Their answer to the 
  31. invasion was, and is our answer.  In v. 22 they began to praise 
  32. the Lord, with thanksgiving.  You see, we wrestle not against flesh 
  33. and  blood, but against spiritual wickedness in high places.
  34.  
  35. Praise is the weapon of warfare in the spirit world.  When the singers
  36. praised God, the Lord set ambushments against the enemy.  He will do 
  37. the same for you today. God is ready to fight your battle.  When the
  38. invasion comes, make it your priority to stand still and give 
  39. thanksgiving to God. Then you will see His great salvation... for the
  40. battle is the Lord's.
